As a blogger nowadays, there have been so many articles that I have completely forgotten about. I recently dug up an old blog that I thought I had deleted a few years prior. I looked over it this weekend, and it was actually really neat to be able to step inside the mind of my younger self.
Oh how things have changed for the better. 🙂 I guess I started writing much earlier than I thought.
Let’s start off with the obvious. Every human being on Earth goes through phases in life. Not only do our physical appearances change, our personalities change as well. As we grow older, we begin to see the the world a bit differently — albeit from a more optimistic viewpoint or from a pessimistic standpoint. It all comes down to your morals and your ambitions, really. Your environmental, economical, and social affects your personality as well, but at the end of the day, it all comes down to YOU.
Take me as an example. I’ve learned to develop a thicker skin over the years thanks to my writing career. I’ve learned not to care too much about what other people think of me or about my style of writing. I take criticism with a grain of salt. Regarding constructive criticism, however, I’m all ears because I like to make improvements, adjustments, and whatnot.
Also, trolling is a BIG no-no in my book. In today’s technologically advanced society, people have become so ruthless as to hide behind a computer, tablet, or smartphone and troll on the likes of YouTube Stars, Internet Entrepreneurs, etc. My question is: why don’t the trolls just go find a hobby instead of sending idiotic comments to bloggers and youtubers?! All in all, trolling is basically counterintuitive and unproductive.
For all the young kids (or adults) struggling to see the brighter side of things, my advice is to say this to yourself: “So What? There are so many other people out there in the world. I will not focus on the negative anymore.” Then, you will begin to gain confidence in yourself as well as your abilities. Only you can determine your path in life, and only you can determine how wealthy, successful, or famous you want to become.
I am definitely enjoying growing up. Now that I am able to see things with a clearer perspective, I’ve learned to be confident in my abilities. Little Amy is all grown up now. 🙂
And lastly, let’s talk about one of my old blogs that I dug up — which is entitled, “Where cynicism and humors collide”. LOL 🙂 I had completely forgotten about this little blog as I had only updated it three times (in January 2010). I was definitely a cynical, yet funny girl to say the least. I was grammar-obsessive, skeptical, and sarcastically humorous.

To my readers, thank you so much for supporting AvidAmy.com as well as my other sites. I can’t thank you enough! My page views have skyrocketed through the roof, and I can only go up from here. It’s been a work in progress, and it has all been worthwhile.
From yours truly,
P.S: You can also call me Ames, Amester, or whatever hits your fancy!
