Just like the sixteenth episode, Episode 17 of Person of Interest was stellar. However one gripe: the outcome was too obvious. (Luke MacFarlane portrayed a fake FBI agent in this episode).
Here are four snippet videos of “Proteus,” with a link to my full recap inside:
Before you watch these videos, you can read my full recap. For those of you who’ve already seen the episode, “Proteus”, how’d you like it? Though it was a stellar episode, I thought it was a step down from its precedent because the outcome was a bit too predictable for my liking. “Relevance”, on the other hand, was a complete 180 from what we would usually expect from POI. (For that episode: Agent Shaw (Sarah Shahi) starred as the Lead Actor — not Reese, Finch, Carter, nor Fusco ).
For Episode 17, “Proteus”: I know that Detective Cal (Sterling K. Brown) shot the bad guy (Luke MacFarlane), but I’m hoping that he’s not actually dead. Due to his brilliant portrayal of “the creepy, serial killer”, I would love to see him on POI again. He could potentially play a recurring role of the Resident Antagonist, and Agent Shaw (Sarah Shahi) — from “Relevance” — could become Reese’s new sidekick!
Did Nolan hire new writers for the show? It sure seems like it! They’re doing a fantastic job because these last two episodes have put me on the edge of my seat. They were exciting!
