Milwaukee Bucks, Los Angeles Lakers get swept out of NBA Playoffs – 04/28/2013

Sad day for the Milwaukee Bucks and the Los Angeles Lakers. The Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs took out their brooms, and smacked us square in the face. 🙁 You “wizards” are evil. Evil, I tell you!

With that said, these sweeps were predictable. The Bucks and Lakers were no match for the King-Kong towers — aka the Heat & the Spurs.

Earlier today, the Miami Heat became the first team to clinch their spot in the quarter-finals. The defending champions easily beat the Bucks, four games to none. Although Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis played their best all season long, they came up short in the First Round of the playoffs.

As they prepare for Round Two of the playoffs, LeBron James and co. will match up against the winner of the Chicago Bulls & Brooklyn Nets series.

Also, the Los Angeles Lakers — who were plagued by injuries all season long — lost to the Spurs 0 wins – 4 losses. This was no surprise as the Lakers missed Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, Jodie Meeks, Metta World Peace, and Steve Blake in the playoffs.

The Spurs officially clinched their spot in the quarter-finals as well. They will match up against the winner of the Golden State Warriors & Denver Nuggets series.

Here’s the current scoreboard from across the league:
