Vocal acrobat, Adam Lambert, has been cast in FOX’s live broadcast of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, as Eddie, a motorcycle-riding, ex-delivery boy. Adam, 33, best known for his full octave vocal range, was notably shocked and honored by this news. “I grew up watching ‘Rocky Horror,’ said Adam. “[I] could never imagine that I would be part of this new vision. ‘Rocky Horror’ always made me feel like it was [okay] to celebrate my weirdness. Hallelujah, bless my soul! I love that old time rock-n-roll!” he continued, referring to the newly revamped version of Rocky Horror that he’ll be featured on in the fall of this year, originally made famous in 1976.
This two-hour live broadcast of The Rocky Horror Picture Show will also feature Laverne Cox as Dr. Frank-N-Furter, Victoria Justice as Janet, Tim Curry as the Criminologist Narrator, Ryan McCartan, and Reeve Carney. More names will be announced later this year.
