Hello! It’s Amy.

I founded AvidAmy.com in January 2013 while I was in the midst of producing reviews of hit television shows and competitive sports for Rickey.org, from May 2012 to May 2013. I started blogging as a hobby in 2002 through once-popular platforms, Xanga & MySpace. Little did I know that writing would become my true passion. And, had I known better, I wouldn’t have permanently deleted some of my older blogs (although a few of those still remain online today). One of which is, Bones Summaries, created in December 2009, centering around Bones.

My writings include work with Bones Summaries, Hubpages.com, Rickey.org, Alcon Lighting, Portside Marketing, Odesk.com (now Upwork.com), AvidAmy.com, more. And, through my knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, I have designed child themes through WordPress for several of my clients. I’d recommend joining multiple social networking mediums and using content management software, like Wordpress, to those considering Blogging as a profession.

In December 2011, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Merced, in the heart of California. It’s not in Northern California, nor in Southern California; rather, it’s smack in the middle of the suburbs in Central California. It was quite the learning experience for me as a Los Angeles native; a matter of yin and yang.
